About the position
As a Security Officer - Airport Screening Checkpoint, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting an aerospace and defense location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. You will help support a welcoming, orderly environment while working as part of a team that reflects Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and integrity-driven culture.
Responsibilities
Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an airport-related location.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned terminal areas, public spaces, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points and observe pedestrian and vehicle activity, reporting suspicious conditions, policy violations, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
Prepare accurate activity reports and communicate professionally with visitors, tenants, airline personnel, contractors, and emergency responders.
Requirements
Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
